TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
2008
- 2009 Family Support Training Scholarships
Scholarships
are availabe to Family Support Programs in Iowa. These scholarships
are available for specific trainings that have been successfully
completed by participants. These trainings include:
- Family Development
Certification
- Healthy Families
Iowa - Core and Supervisory
- Great Beginnings
- Train the
Trainer
- Partnering
with Parents
- Combined Family
development and Partnering with Parents training
Specific information
about the above trainings is noted below.
We will be sponsoring
at least three Life Skill Progression tool trainings across the
state. The dates and the locations are still being finalized and
you will be informed of this information as soon as it is available.
Also,
Parent Information Resource Center (PIRC) will sponsor training
for PAT birth - 3 and PAT 3-K this year. The number of spots available
for these trainings is still being determined. These training are
typically held in June for birth-3 and in August for 3-K. The website
for PIRC is http://www.iowaparents.org.
We will also update the FaDSS website on dates for these training
when we become aware of them. We will keep you up to date with this
resource since our scholarships will not be able to fund these trainings
this year since this resource is available.
